Open AllClose All
Can ECE help foreign-trained dentists with credential evaluations?

Yes, ECE provides foreign credential evaluations for dentists applying to the NBDHE, INBDE, ADAT, or DLOSCE, as required by the ADA/JCNDE.

Does ECE provide credential evaluation reports for pharmacists?

Yes, ECE offers credential evaluation reports for foreign-educated pharmacists applying to the FPGEC Certification Program, in partnership with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

Can ECE help with licensure in cosmetology or accounting?

ECE provides credential evaluations for cosmetology and accounting licensure in select U.S. states. Applicants should confirm specific requirements with their state licensing board.

Why do licensing boards require a foreign credential evaluation?

Licensing boards often require a foreign credential evaluation to determine whether international academic qualifications meet the educational standards needed for professional licensure in the U.S.

How do I apply for a professional licensure evaluation report from ECE?

To apply, identify your profession and licensing requirements on the ECE website, then select and request the appropriate ECE® evaluation report based on your situation.

Certain professions in the U.S. may require licensure by a state board before you can practice in the field.  Licensing boards often have an educational requirement for licensure.

If you have studied outside the U.S. and are trying to be licensed, a foreign credential evaluation may help you meet the educational requirements.

We currently provide reports for all those who are seeking licensure as a dentist or pharmacist, and we provide reports for some states for cosmetology and accounting. If you are seeking professional licensure, we recommend you contact your state board to confirm what type of report may be required.
